“We were able to move over to LexJet’s Sunset Select Matte Canvas from On a Roll’s canvas and there were no problems with the switch; we’re very happy with LexJet,” says Lou Fiore of Speedway Custom Photo Lab in Daytona Beach, Fla. “We also get a high level of service and support from LexJet, plus product delivery we can count on. LexJet tells me when I’m going to get my products and I get them the day they were promised, and it’s usually the next day.”

All shipping, product and customer logistics have been transitioned to LexJet and built into its technology infrastructure to ensure no interruption in service to On a Roll Color Imaging customers, who, like all LexJet customers, can expect the following:

Personal support: LexJet customers always speak with a person who can help them between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET. Moreover, customers who call in will not be on hold for more than ten seconds or have to navigate through frustrating and seemingly infinite phone trees

Products plus: LexJet customers have access to thousands of products that address the entire inkjet-printing workflow and are designed to build their business, all with unlimited and free technical and product support from personally-assigned customer specialists

Nationwide shipping: LexJet customers receive products quickly from its nationwide delivery network at a flat rate of $9.99 for every order, every time, no matter how large the order

“Our number-one priority – whether it’s bringing On a Roll Color Imaging’s customers on board, working with a new customer or an existing customer – is to ensure the best possible experience for each customer,” says Pete Petersen, LexJet CIO. “An integral component of that is our continual investment in technology systems so that it’s as easy as possible for our customers to get what they need. With fewer hassles and unwanted surprises in the process, they can focus on developing their core business.”

Further Extends EFI’s Reach with Superwide Digital Printing into the Commercial Print Marketplace

Foster City, California — August 9, 2011 – EFI™ (NASDAQ: EFII) and Heidelberg Canada today announced a new agreement under which Heidelberg will distribute the VUTEk® GS series of superwide format digital printers throughout Canada. Under the agreement, Heidelberg Canada will distribute EFI’s VUTEk GS2000, GS3200 and GS5000r printers, as well as the inks (under the Saphira brand name), parts, consumables, accessories and upgrades related to these printers. Heidelberg will also provide customer and technical support for the VUTEk GS series of printers, including installation and training.

EFI is a world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial, screen, packaging, in-plant and specialty printers worldwide. Heidelberg is the world’s leading solutions provider for the print media industry. The company manufactures sheetfed press systems, as well as prepress and postpress components, software and consumables for all printing applications.

Heidelberg is the most widely recognized brand in the Canadian printing industry, and a market leader providing the industry with the finest and most technologically advanced prepress, printing and bindery/finishing equipment in the world.
Heidelberg has a full-spectrum solution for multi-process color management including Prinect Color Toolbox, a suite of tools for device calibration, ICC profile generation, and proof/print analysis. The company will use these tools to integrate and color-manage VUTEk output for optimal results.

EFI will train and support the Heidelberg Canada team enabling Heidelberg to sell, train and service customers independently.

“Wide and superwide format printing are of considerable interest to the Canadian print market, and Heidelberg has the right workflow, color management, service and consumables expertise needed to integrate these technologies into a print production environment,” said Ken Freek, vice president product management, Heidelberg Canada. “Both EFI and Heidelberg are leaders in their respective markets. Together we can bring a best-in-class portfolio to our customers.”

The VUTEk GS series of high-end printers can be integrated into a complete Prinect workflow and can be color managed by Heidelberg’s Prinect Color Toolbox, which was recently awarded the IDEAlliance G7 System Certification. Customers will benefit from a single workflow that drives a digital device and an offset press, resulting in superior color matching output from both devices.

“Few companies are better respected in the industry than Heidelberg. Adding Heidelberg Canada as a reseller for EFI fits with our mission to offer customers the best combination of products to achieve diversity and profitability,” said Frank Mallozzi, senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, EFI. “With Heidelberg, customers benefit from having a single point of contact for all their printing needs.”

Excell Color Graphics Installs Xerox Color 800 Press and FUJIFILM Acuity Advance HS UV Flatbed Press to Compete in Short-run Printing Market

VALHALLA, N.Y., February 15, 2010 – FUJIFILM North America Corporation today announced that commercial printer Excell Color Graphics of Fort Wayne, Ind., has installed digital production and wide format solutions as part of its strategy to remain competitive since the turn of the economy, which has spurred the demand for short-run printing. In October 2010, the printer installed a Xerox Color 800 Press to accommodate quick turnaround, short-run jobs that are replacing traditional, high-volume, offset work orders. To compete even more aggressively, Excell Color Graphics has also entered the wide format printing space with the December 2010 installation of a FUJIIFLM Acuity Advance HS UV flatbed press, enabling the traditionally offset printer to produce posters and signage for customers.

“The shift in the economy prompted us to start implementing digital solutions into our workflow to supplement the loss of offset volume,” said Tom Parrot, president, Excell Color Graphics. “Currently, 20 percent of our volume is printed digitally, but 40 percent of the jobs that come through the shop is now printed digitally.”

In 2007, Excell Color Graphics began to explore how digital printing could impact business with the installation of a Xerox DocuColor® 5000 Digital Press, the first piece of digital equipment the company had ever purchased. It was an entry level way for the offset printer to experiment with digital. The Xerox Color 800 Press has now replaced the Xerox 5000 system and has integrated seamlessly into the shop’s workflow because of its 2,400 x 2,400 dpi, offset-like image quality. It has streamlined production with production speeds of up to 80 pages per minute and has also given Excell Color Graphics more flexibility since the device can print on thicker sheets, perform duplex printing and offers a clear ink option that promotes new and creative techniques for unique, eye-catching output that particularly appeals to the company’s advertising agency clientele. The device’s primary function in the shop is to fulfill orders for short-run marketing collateral including post cards and proposals as well as four-color printed envelopes that would normally be printed offset and would need to then be converted.

“A perfect example of how this device is ramping up production for us is that this afternoon I received a call at 1pm to produce 100 28-page photo books by 5pm,” said Parrot. “Before installing the Xerox 800, I would not have been able to do this, but now I can offer our customers enhanced services for quick turnaround, short-run fulfillment.”

A survey of Parrot’s customers also showed a unanimous need for a wide format solution which prompted the printer to install the FUJIFILM Acuity Advance HS UV flatbed press, which boasts speeds of up to 430 square feet per hour and helps commercial printers expand their business with high-quality flatbed printing. While Parrot admits they are still experimenting with the capabilities of the device and the substrates it can print on, he is confident that the Acuity is going to open the door to new markets as well as offer his current customer base new printed products not previously possible with offset equipment. Already Parrot has seen immediate results, as the Acuity has increased the quality of the posters Excell Color Graphics can produce for its customers with its photographic print quality, precise registration and edge-to-edge printing. In the past, when the shop received an order for a poster, they would print it offset and mount it to foam core.

“While these are large investments, in today’s climate this digital equipment will play a significant role in our strategy to meet the needs of the market,” Parrot explained. “If I’m going to stay in business, I better find some cool ways to print, and unique substrates to print on, to keep our customers interested. The digital devices are giving us this competitive advantage, keeping us relevant, and are also putting us on the cutting edge of the industry.”

“Traditional offset printers are finding ways to remain competitive in this changing print landscape,” said Todd Zimmerman, vice president of sales and marketing, Graphic Systems Division, FUJIFILM North America Corporation. “Those who are adopting digital and wide format solutions to their workflows will flourish because they are adjusting their business strategy to the current needs of the marketplace, which are and will continue to be short-run, fast-turnaround, high-quality printing.”

Excell Color Graphics has been in business since 1990 with a focus on color separations and film production. By 1997, the company’s focus widened to include print production. Today, Excell Color Graphics operates out of 27,000 square foot print facility. To learn more about Excell Color Graphics, visit www.excellcg.com.

“Our goal since opening in 1990 up shop has been to provide outstanding customer service and quality work,” said Parrot. “The investments we make support this promise to our customers and we are looking forward to what the future has in store for our business as we start exploring new opportunities that only digital printing can deliver.”

Unified Organization Will Improve Efficiency and Serve a Broader Range of Print Customers

Valhalla, NY – March 17, 2010 – FUJIFILM North America Corporation announced today that Fujifilm Sericol U.S.A., Inc. will join its Graphic Systems Division effective April 1, 2010. The integration of the Fujifilm Sericol U.S.A. business into the Graphic Systems Division will facilitate greater collaboration, enhance best practices, and further improve services to Fujifilm’s customers.

“We have many talented people with diverse technical and marketing skills working in each of our businesses at Fujifilm,” said Masahiro Ota, president of the Graphic Systems Division of FUJIFILM North America Corporation. “Our objective here is to strengthen our presence and to take full advantage of the synergies that will help us to continue serving customers effectively and efficiently.”

The integration adds the screen printing, wide format digital, and narrow web print expertise of Fujifilm Sericol to the already strong presence of Fujifilm in the commercial print market. “One of our greatest strengths now is the wide range of skills our people can bring to a broad range of customers.” said Mitch Bode, general manager, Graphic Systems Division – Sericol Unit. “We look forward to joining the broader Fujifilm organization and combining the strengths of both organizations to grow our future business.”

This news follows Fujifilm’s announcement in January that it would bring together five operating divisions: photo imaging products including digital photo processing equipment and services supplying commercial and consumer customers; graphic systems products and services supplying the printing industry; consumer digital cameras; motion picture films; and the Canada Division (operating as FUJIFILM Canada Inc.) which markets multiple Fujifilm products. Globally Fujifilm announced last year that during 2010, the company would align its organization by region in Europe, North America, China and Asia.
